Paschal Keli Mweu is the Director of Investigations at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). He was appointed to the position on 3rd March, 2023. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Mweu was the Deputy Director, Asset Tracing. He holds a Master’s Degree in Governance & Ethics and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Mr. Mweu joined the Commission in October 2006 as a Forensic Investigator at the Commission’s Preliminary Investigations Division and was later in August 2014 appointed the Assistant Director, Forensic Investigations. He has over 28 years’ experience in Law Enforcement. Before joining the Commission, he served in the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) as a Detective in the Investigations Branch at DCI Headquarters, DCI Urban- Mombasa, DCI- Buruburu, DCI- Marakwet, DCI- Pangani and DCI- Parklands. Due to his distinguished career and outstanding service to the Nation, he was on the 12th December 2022 awarded and conferred with the Order of Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) by the State. Mr. Mweu has vast and extensive training in Fraud and Money Laundering, Investigations & Prosecution of Corruption and Economic Crimes, Asset Tracing & Asset Recovery, Public Procurement & Financial Investigations, and Terrorism Financing. He has also undertaken numerous Management Courses including the Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) and the Senior Management Course (SMC). As the Director of Investigations, he oversees the management of corruption reports, investigation of all Corruption and Economic crimes cases, Analysis of evidence and supporting Prosecution of the resultant cases in Court.
