Mr. Joel Mukumu is the Director Finance and Planning at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. He was appointed to this position on February 1st, 2020. Prior to this appointment, Joel was the Deputy Director in charge of Finance and Accounts function in the Commission. He has extensive knowledge and experience in Accounting, Financial Management and Audit. Currently he is also the Chairperson of the Board of Trustee of the EACC Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme. He is also a member of various operational Committees. He previously worked as a Chief Accountant at the Kenya National Examinations Council. He also worked at Telkom-Orange Ltd as a Regional Accountant, Coast Region. Other institutions he also served include IPS Group and Mastermind Tobacco Ltd. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance MBA(Finance) from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (B.Com), from Kenyatta University, and is Certified Public Accountant -CPA(K). He has overtime undertaken various leadership and management courses.
